At Sun-N-Fun, one of the used auto conversion companies was providing people with some false information about our products and I would like to use this opportunity to present some facts.

Our AM15 is 117 hp at 5800 rpm.  Our AM15-HP is 131 hp at 5800 rpm.  At 6500 rpm our AM15-HP is 147 hp.  Please view our dyno videos on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/aeromomentum/

Our AM15 weight is 185 lbs. and there is a picture of one on a scale on our web site.  http://aeromomentum.com/am15.html

The price is $9,995 for the 117hp, $13,995 for the 131hp and 147 hp upright.  These prices are for NEW engines with mounting ears, starter, alternator, ECU, ignition switch, circuit breakers, complete and labeled wiring harness, etc.  All of our pricing is available at http://aeromomentum.com

The TBO is a well proven 2000 hours.  Our highest time engine (in an airboat) has gone over 4000 hours with near zero maintenance and no failures.  There are over 40,000 hours on our engines.

Our engines are professionally built in Stuart, FL from a new current production Original Equipment manufacturer (OEM) Suzuki bare block.  All of our core engine parts are brand new OEM Suzuki and come from Japan, Korea, USA, China and other countries.

Our ECU is a well proven aftermarket ECU and was professionally designed, built and tested.

Our custom wiring harness is made using modern OEM automotive connectors and the wire they are designed to use.

All of our OEM Suzuki parts can be bought from our web page at great prices, auto parts stores or at any Chevy or Suzuki dealer worldwide.

Our aerospace engineered gearbox is designed, engineered, built and tested to 1200+ ft-lbs of torque and can use any type of propeller.  We have a couple of solid hardwood and other prop test videos also on Facebook.  Like any reputable manufacturer we do engineering and like Rotax and others we have a moment of inertia limit.  All gearboxes and even direct drive engines have a moment of inertia limit and any engineered engine will state this limit clearly.  If you want to use a higher moment of inertia propeller (up to twice the Rotax 912 rating), we also offer a high moment of inertia flywheel.

Thanks Mark,  It's too bad some people feel the need to spread false information about your engines.  I personally think they're fantastic.

I don't know about any false information being told about Aeromomentum, but they seem to have a fine product and I wish them well.

I also wish all the people in the EAB, GA and Zenith community well!  I want our community to expand and offering lower cost alternatives is good for everyone.  I think this is what Zenith wants and supports and is why they do so well.

Mark, can you comment on why you are using stainless steel for the motor mount? If I purchased one, can it be ordered with a 4130 steel tubing? Do you feel stainless is better than 4130? Thanks.

The critical loading of the tubes is in compression buckling.  While 4130 is stronger in tension the critical material property for buckling is the modulus of elasticity and the stainless steel has about the same modulus so is just as "strong" in compression buckling.  So a stainless engine mount is just as strong for the same weight but has less corrosion issues and and better weld-ability when using TIG.  And it looks better.
