Update

Sorry I haven't posted lately but this has been a crazy year. But I guess that's not news to any of you.Anyway, I did decide to go with the AM 15 engine. As I mentioned in my first post, my Jabiru 2200 engine failed me while on a trip about 400 miles from home.  Rather than rebuild the engine which has given me nothing but trouble since day one, I decided to install a new engine. I did decide on the Aeromomentum AM 15. I went all-in with the complete installation package except for the cowl.…See More

Aeromomentum on any 601 model?

I'm thinking about installing an AM15 on my 601 HDS which currently has a Jabiru 2200 that recently shot craps. It will require a complete rebuild. I have been unable to find any reference on this forum or anywhere else on the internet that someone has installed an Aeromomentum engine on any of the 601 models. Mike,

Thanks for sharing your HDS experience with Viking's steel bungee.

It would seem perfectly centering a 1-3/4" inch hole saw would chalanging given the center offset 2 hole design. If you had to do the installation over, what would you think to be the best way to remove the top cap.

Thanks again,
Larry
