Stepping in
Hello all,
So plans should arrive this week for a STOL 750. My son and I have made a family pact to build this aircraft over the next 5 or 6 years while he goes through air cadets. The finished craft will be his reward for getting his PPL.
We are both very excited to scratch build and kit build as the finances allow. I'm a shipwright and a journeyman carpenter with a lifetime experience in fabrication in composites, metals and wood. I'm hoping that some skills will benefit an aircraft build. I am sure I will have lots of questions over the next years.

Highly recommend you check out RAA Chapter 85 at Delta Heritage Airpark, they have been a great support for me in finishing my 701 from partial kits.

I just received my plans for our CH750 STOL. My wife and I are going to Mexico, MO to do the builders workshop and build the rudder.
We are both excited about starting the build.
Keep us posted on your progress!

Good luck with that Joe. I am fortunate that my son has a keen interest in aviation. I just hope that lasts throughout his lifetime.

I hope that in 2-3 years I can get buy-in from my son on wanting to help with a kit build. We are building bikes, trikes, and things to get a feel for how into the building he is. That will most likely be my buy vs build determination.
