Flying the STOL CH 701 from an R/C field

Take offs and landings in the "full size" Zenith CH701 at the RFK Skilling RC club meeting. The Zenair STOL didn't even use half of the grass field in Skillingaryd (Sweden) normally reserved for scale remote control model planes.

The 701 fits among the RC planes very well ;)  Today's large RC-planes may take as much space to take-off and land in practice. I wish we had this kind of field for our RC planes.

The 1st landing in the video shows the pilot knows his plane pretty well. With strong gusty headwind it would be quite easy to stall the plane hitting hard the ground at the end when trying to approach at minimum speed... Nice work!

RC field? Damn, looks better than many landing strips where I come from.
