Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
Group,
I am trying to get the Baggage Back 75F5-2 asssembled and am having problems with drawings and part numbers, I think?
I have edition 1, revision 1 drawings and they show Part Number 75F6-7 as a Baggage Back Channel. However, Zenith sent me a left and right Baggage Back Channel with the part number of 75FA10-1. The holes on these match nothing??? Also, my 75F5-2 Baggage Back has flanges already, with holes that match the side skins?
Am I getting mixed parts/plans and perhaps have parts from 2 versions?

Ed you have probably received the right parts with the version 2 part #s if the channels that go behind the baggage back do not have any preholes on the sides then you would simply fit them inside the prebent baggage back and procede to back drill from the ourtside of the skin making sure that you you use clecos on every hole to keep the alignment. there are some other issues that you might have also so if you could call me i might be able to help. Doug,
I think you are correct. I think the part number 75FA10-1 replaced 75F6-7. They seem to fit correctly. I may give you a call anyway.

Luiz,
I think that the part number 75FA10-1 replaced 75F6-7, mine seems to fit correctly and really strengthens the Baggage Back. I believe the Baggage Back(75F5-2) must absolutely have stiffeners at the sides. Just riveting the bent edges to the Side Skins won't be enough. Does that make sense?

Ed,
My problem is a little different. I didn't recevied any channel, 76F6-7 or 76FA10-1, but my baggage back is the new version that requires a channel to be mounted. I am in contact with local Zenith dealer to solve this issue. As soon as I get news I'll post it.
I do agree that with channels the installation is much rigid.
Luiz
Hi Luiz,
Just wondering if you got this issue resolved yet.
I'm at a point using earlier plans than Ed 1 Rev 1 and trying to decide whether or not to add this revision and how to do it. Any comments, opinions, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bill,
I've mounted the baggage back with the channels 75FA10-1. Not sure yet if I will cut and install the doubler 75FA10-2, considering that my 75-F-7 has a long structural L that goes up to the baggage back.
