SOLD!!! Complete STOL CH 750 kit - unassembled in Arizona $15,000

I purchased kit #75-7801 on August 30, 2009 for $21,395.92. This is the complete airframe and finishing kit. It has long range fuel tanks, LED nav/pos lights, and a vortex generator kit. I built the vertical tail at the factory workshop back in 2009, before I earned my A&P. It is servicable but not not flawless.

I have clecoed the horizontal tail together. I have clecoed the rear fuselage together. Not a single rivet has been installed. I bought the kit hoping I could build it with my dad. That never happened. At this point I admit that I am a flyer and fixer, not a builder.

I also have a good core Corvair engine with new pistons, bearings, and a nitrided crank. I have over $2000 in William Wynne engine mount and engine parts.

No prop. No avionics.

I am a full time A&P at Falcon Field in Mesa. I live in north Phoenix. Thanks.

How much for the crank?
I am not offering to sell off parts and pieces. It is a package deal. $15k for everything listed. Picked up and paid for in Phoenix, Arizona. I am happy to help a new owner pack and ship, but I am not offering to deliver.

Hi Wiggy. I am very interested in what you are offering. I am curious who did your crank and what pistons you have. (This is not a deal breaker.)   Also, do you have any idea what it might take to convert this to the version 3? I am assuming the aluminum is straight and the parts are all well accounted for? Is the vortex kit in addition to, or to replace the standard leading edge slats?

Thanks, Howard

Howard - VGs are in addition to standard leading edge slats. Yes, aluminum is straight. Every single widget and screw supplied by Zenith is still in my possession.

I forgot to add that I have a full set of the DVDs from Homebuilt Help. It looks like they are charging $250 for these currently.

Question regarding upgrade to Version 3 should be directed to Seb or Roger. I don't know the answer.

Crank is GM factory nitrited from turbo Corvair. I will try to dig out one of WW's engine books and look up part number. I don't remember piston info. I will go get the box and look at them this weekend.
Sale Pending.
I registered this kit as N29WG. I talked to my local FSDO and Oklahoma City about the premature registration. The FAA directed me to send an affidavit stating that I jumped the gun (a ton by registering it before I had driven a single rivet) and "had neither applied for or been issued an air worthiness certificate. This will allow me to deregister an unbuilt kit. The new owner will retain full ability to register, comply with 50% rule, and apply for airworthiness certificate. I talked to Roger Dubbert at Zenith and he said the new owner just needs to contact Joyce, fill out 1 form and will be put in Zenith's records as owner to get on the builder's network and buy parts, etc.

Please ask if you have any questions.

Is the kit still for sale?

Yes. The kit is available for sale again.
The kit sold today. Thanks very much for all the interest. Good luck and blue skies to all the builders on this site.
