I am ready to rivet up the firewall for my CH 650.  I got to thinking about possible heat shield application and /or painting componets.  Any suggestions would be welcome.

Jim,
Which side of the firewall will the heat shield go on. What purpose, heat insulation for the cabin, or sound deadening?
My Cherokee has an heat insulation blanket on the engine side of the firewall. I was wondering if anyone has applied this to their Zeniths. I don't remember seeing any pictures of same. I would like ome sound proffing, if not too much weight.
You might check Aircraft Spruce offerings here.

They have some that goes on the engine side of the firewall, but it's a bit heavy. The type for inside the cabin is lighter.
