Drilled and installed front and rear wing bolts. Ended up with slight aft sweep, but equidistant both sides. Had to do so to attain edge distance for attach bolt on rear channel. Struts are next, but just had to see what the slats looked like on the wing.

Bob - My plan is still to bring this up your way and let you see it up close and personal, who knows...your floats might even be on!!
John - After initially rigging/positioning of the wings I was a bit dismayed by the "edge distance" issue. Came to the boards and read just about everything regarding hanging the wings and then made a call to Roger the next morning. In an earlier discussion about the general subject, he had advised me to drill the wing spar root fitting hole a few mm further outboard so that the wing would attach a bit closer to the fuselage/cabin frame. This would allow the rear channel to be a bit closer to the cabin rear attach point as well and minimize the potential for lack of edge distance. Despite having done so, I still had to go with min edge distance numbers on the rear attach points (new pilot holes 2-3 mm further outboard), and min edge distance (actually, just a bit more) on the rear channels and resultant slight aft sweep! I do agree with the general consensus that it will likely not be an issue, or even noticeable with our type aircraft. Interestingly, the rear channels of both wings (when established at 3 degree angle of incidence) are almost centered in the vertical about my cabin rear attach points, and my trailing edge wing skins are within 1-2 mm of each other measurement wise relative to the fuselage top skin horizontal plane.
Looking good, David! Curiously, I wound up with a bit of forward sweep - I think several others did too, at least with the Ed 1-2 kits - seems I remember there was some discussion about it. As I recall, Caleb (Zenith engineer) didn't seem to think it made much difference - they all fly great! ;>)

Thanks Walt, will be interesting to see how it looks with the blue struts and flaperons. Hope to get those on next week. Seems like a lot left to do before I can schedule the airworthiness inspection...
