What cameras are you guys using these days, in flight testing...?
I'm interested in recording some tuft testing, and being able to mount the camera in various positions externally around the airframe.

The GoPro Hero series is still pretty much the mainstay of the industry, although their stock has taken a beating.
Yeah, I was using a GoPro, but footage was "wobbly", and the remote control never worked on it. Video quality faded to nothing but a white-out after about 45 minutes on cold days (Minnesota winters, at the time).
I was doing some tuft testing on a beautiful day and when the GoPro "departed" the aircraft. I don't miss the GoPro, but I bet it had some amazing footage, but I'm sure it shattered into a million pieces as it hit the ice of the lake I was flying over at the time.
My GoPro was the "Hero 2". Are you using one of the newer GoPro's on your airplane? How is it performing in the air?
