Smart Phone
With all the smart phone apps for the cockpit now I have found I feel better I have a backup with Ifly and advare, plus Ifly flight planner installed on my phone. . I also have a couple of weather apps as well. Problem is now I don't have much knowledge about smart phones, they run from a hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars. Mine is an older one with a cracked glass and I think it is time for a replacement. Looking for suggestions as to what would be a reasonable replacement for my Huawei with a 5" screen. I want something I can still fit in my pocket, but with a large screen

I recently switched from an older iPhone 6 to an Android: It's an LG V20 phone. I've had to give up using ForeFlight (only for iOS) and made the switch to Garmin Pilot, which I've been impressed with so far.
The LG phone has a big screen (5.7") yet still fits in my pocket and it has a nice camera (two forward lens, one with wide angle). I bought it because it's affordable (under $400) and my son has one. I'm disappointed with battery life (but the battery is removable and I bought an extra one).
Making the switch from iPhone to Android is not easy and transferring my files and data is a chore, but I'm getting used to it.

iPhones are pricey but there is a currently a larger variety of aviation apps than what is available for android phones.
