I waited for 10 months for my intake and exhaust and this is the exhaust that I received from the "Quitman, GA-based Corvair" company. Still no intake in sight at nearly 11 mo. of waiting. Instead, I received this wall art that I will have to have rewelded at a local custom racing exhaust shop. Spend thousands in good faith and get punished in return with scrap metal rejects and LONG waits.
Also, note that the company has a very unprofessional website and the prices listed are incomplete and inaccurate with no web store. You have to personally hunt the seller down until he answers your texts and emails. Some of my texts and emails went unanswered for weeks at a time.
I understand that the "Quitman guy" has done this to other customers and sometimes does not deliver purchased parts. They also have my paid oil cooler for the last 11 mo. It took 7 months to get my complete 120 HP "inspected' and they performed work I did not authorize and they do not provide estimates. He promised parts that he never delivered (manifolds, carb, oil cooler) and as a present for my persistence, they sent me this defective manifold without my 120 HP Spyder engine intake.
This manifold is approx. 3 deg off from true. Must have been a hand weld w/o using a jig and fixture. The other side was true but not adjusted for the tilt of the engine on the mount and hits the mount and the bottom of the fuselage.
Use extreme caution when dealing with the Spyder engine purveyor in Quitman, GA. The LLCs are focused on approx. two or three ventures under a few different company names and are apparently lacking employees to get work done in their new facility. This could indicate the quality of the airplanes they offer too or at least the type of service you will get after your purchase.
If you have an intake or exhaust for a Spyder Corvair flight motor with any carb style but preferably Rotec style, even used ones you'd like to sell, please advise your price and give me a shout.

Wow, that is terrible, but thanks for sharing this.  It is important that we keep each other informed.  Thanks for posting!

Indeed. Thanks.

Just an FYI, William Wynne has posted on Facebook that he's in the process of making more exhaust manifolds.  I have no idea how long it will be until he lists them for sale on his website.  I don't see a reason why they wouldn't work on an Azalea Spyder Corvair.

Thanks, I saw the post and we spoke on the phone. I'll keep my eyes out for the first batch. Exhaust should be identical, except, the engine is reversed and not sure if that would make the spacing reversed on the downpipes. Intake has to clear the "flywheel". I bought a Rotec from WW and will definitely need that style. Clapp doesn't sell Rotec style intakes.
