Cut In My Tire

Assembled my wheels today.  STOL wheels for a Cruzer.  I went to air them up to leak check them and noticed a cut in the side wall.  Right out the box.

Carlisle 8.00-6 4-ply

Anyone have a good source for a replacement?

Hi William,

       Did the tires come from Zenith? I’d call and let them know. Aircraft spruce should have some. Dont know if you could put an inner tube in them, cut on sidewall, so could open up worse with flexing. Good luck!

They did come from Zenith.  The cut isn't visible when the tire is deflated so I'm sure they didn't know about it.

I didn't see the same tire at Aircraft Spruce.  I did find it at Walmart.com.  $75.85 out the door.  Shipped in two days to the Walmart in town.

Hi william,

      I’d definety call zenith , they may want you to ship it back so they can get credit for it . I,m sure they will replace it. I,d mark it. not sure if could be patched inside and a innertube used. Usually any tire with a sidewall

defect is toast.  good luck!
