SUMMARY:Zenith ‘Engine Day’ at Oshkosh AirVenture 2015
DESCRIPTION:Zenith Aircraft Company will host an “Engine Day” at t
he company’s exhibit at AirVenture in Oshkosh on Friday, July 24 fro
m 10 am to 2 pm. The company will have a number of Zenith aircraft wit
h different installed engines on display, as well as representatives f
rom a number of engine manufacturers.\nThis will be Zenith's fourth
Engine Day” event hosted by Zenith: “We've had excellent interest
in this event from both existing Zenith builders and owners, but also
from those researching building their own aircraft.”\nAbove, 2012 Z
 enith \"Engine Day\" at AirVenture\n \nSo, on Friday, July 24, at the
Zenith exhibit at Airventure Oshkosh (#641 in the North Aircraft Disp
lay Area), Zenith Aircraft will again host “Engine Day,” where two
-seat Zenith aircraft with all sorts of power will be on display, and
where representatives of some of the most-popular engines, as well as
some newcomers, will be helping builders decide what goes up front, be
tween the prop and the rest of the airplane.\nThe Chris Heintz (CH-)
Zenith designs have been built using everything from electric motors
to small turbines, with two-strokes, four-strokes, and rotaries in bet
ween; many of these will be available, with their owners, as will some
of the most-popular engine options and manufacturers, ranging from ho
me-made and “factory” Corvair, VW, and Honda conversions, to indus
try-standard, purpose-built light aircraft engines – Rotax, Jabiru,
UL Power (including their new six-cylinder engines), Continental, Lyco
ming, and more, from 65 to 150hp.\n\nThe Zenith designs have always be
en drawn with an eye to allowing alternate power sources. “Chris Hei
ntz always kept the builder’s choice in mind, when designing owner-b
uilt aircraft,” Sebastien noted, with the result that “there are p
robably more different kinds and makes of aviation engines under Zenit
h cowls than any other. Plus,” he continued, “unlike some designer
s, Zenith Aircraft Company encourages builders to install the engine o
f their choice.” There are proven power systems always available, bu
t the designs keep the door open to new ideas. Some work better than o
thers, certainly, but the variety is astounding – “and it is a tes
timony to the versatility of both the designs and the builders that so
many work, and so well.”\n\n\n  \nOf course, those who can't make
it to the Zenith booth on \"Engine Day\" are free to visit with Zenit
h throughout the week.\n\nFor more information visit https://zenith.ae
