I ran a Sensenich GA carbon fiber prop on my STOL 750/Jab 3300. I had a prop strike and am upgrading to a Gen 4 3300. I called Sensenich and they told me that my prop was not repairable since it had been discontinued and they now recommended a new prop - the 2E0U5. Don Rowell, the manager at Sensenich, said it was "an improved design" and recommended it be trimmed to 66" for the 3300. Fortunately, insurance was OK with this and fully covered the $3K cost! Don Rowell, the manager at Sensenich, said it was "an improved design" and recommended it be trimmed to 66" for the 3300. Fortunately, insurance was OK with this and fully covered the $3K cost! My previous prop's pitch was infinitely adjustable but required very careful adjustments to get the pitch the same on both blades. The new prop uses a new system where a pin gauge is inserted into the hub and the blade rotated until it touches and then the blade is locked-down and the pitch is set. Using the same pin for the other blade ensures identical pitch. An assortment of numbered pins are provided with the prop so the pitch can be varied.

Anyone flying this prop on their 3300? If you have this on a STOL 750, what # pin did you wind up using to set your pitch and what static rpm did you obtain?

Thanks,

The rubber engine mount grommets (spacers) on my Jabiru 3300 engine are in need of replacement. Ii appears that replacing the two sets of spacers for the upper engine mount positions will be fairly easy. However, that does not appear to be true for the lower mount positions easy because the weight of the engine will prevent the engine from rotating (tilting) upward to install the grommets. Can someone please help me with a strategy for installing the lower grommets. Thanks in advance for…

Hi all,

I am considering installing a new Jabiru 3300 Gen 4 in a CH650. Any experience you can share regarding the Jabiru 3300 Gen 4 is greatly appreciated. Your thoughts on this engine vs. a UL Power 350 iS is also appreciated.

I guess my real concern is the reliability of this Jabiru 3300 Gen 4. It has been for sale since ~2019. So, there must be some Zenith pilots flying behind this engine.

Putting a different motor on my 601. Selling the original FWF with motor, prop, cowling, mount, exhaust, etc. The airplane was flying but has been inactive for several years. I started the motor yesterday and ran it for a very short time. It started in less than 2 seconds. The last logbook entry shows 61 hours. I'm sure it was flown very little, if at all, after that entry.
