Thank you Matt for the reply. I did use a come-a-long with an overhead hook to remove the engine and have stored the engine on a modified automotive engine stand since. The engine stand was a typical three point design which I modified at the front with a cross piece and added an additional caster. This made a very stable stand. I installed the puck system with the engine removed which made work very simple. Thanks again.

I use a Harbor Freight chain hoist mounted to a rafter above for all engine handling. Thought I did install the puck system without having to remove the engine, but it would be easier without it in the way.

I have made progress on this phase of my project. I modified an automotive engine stand to accept the O-235, added a cross piece at the front of the stand with casters and the engine sits stable. I am able to rotate without tipping, which is why the cross piece was added. The front landing gear is removed and I found access is much better with engine off. For me the removal was worth the time for ease of working on the landing gear and some firewall area tasks.

Installed with engine on. Not a problem. Automotive stand will work just fine.
