Bubble door gas struts

Thanks Michael, Jonathan, Phill, Bob, and everybody else who took the time to respond to my request.

You guys have been very helpful.

Michael, I think I will go to NAPA and try your solution since it seems to be working.

I originally purchased two struts from Aircraft Spruce, but I didn't realize they were really for raising a canopy.

They are short and very strong, will not work very well for the larger movement needed of swinging open a door. I envy you guys that are already flying. My goal is to have my 701 in the air by mid-summer.

It will have been three and a half years in the making.

Thanks again everybody for helping out. This is a great resource for Zenith builders.

Ok! I admit that I am still learning my way around the process on this web site! I should have posted a comment to my original blog instead of a new one. As a result I lost all the comments by everyone!!! Michael, can you please repost the NAPA strut information. I will try not to do that again!!! Sorry about that I'm still learning.

    Hi Michael
You are welcome. I love reading blogs that people post because I learn so much from their experiences. If I can attempt help someone else, even if it is not my aircraft type, then I am pleased to do so.

I look forward to seeing your flying videos.

    Regards
    Phill Barnes
