Cant beat a good ol' big zip tie. Easy to install and remove, secure, and does not involve drilling or putting holes in the gear.

It may not me the prettiest or high tech, but works until you decide on something else. (years later, I still haven't found anything better)

A friend and fellow Super Duty builder designed a very factory looking product that solves just this, it is now licensed and marketed by kitplaneenthusiast.com.
