750 transition training in/near Ohio

Hello,

I have finished building my Cruzer and I am waiting for the registration to come from the FAA. ( Seven weeks so far…)  While I wait, I would like to receive some transition training.

I live in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio.  I would like to find training within Ohio, but if necessary, I can travel out of state.

I checked the forums, but all of the posts that I found on transition training were several years old.

Thanks in advance for your input.

    Fred,

I'm not sure how the Cruzer compares to the STOL. Dan Glaze at KTVA has a Corvair powered 750 STOL used for transition training in central Ohio with Greg Miller. Greg is a retired Air Force pilot and had done transition training for at least 4 of us with 750s. Recommended.

Phil Cook, West of Grand Rapids MI offers transition training. His phone number is (616)490-8263.

He would travel to your location. However, he would train you only in your own aircraft.

This means that you would have him or somebody else fly the first few hours (I believe it's 6 or 8) with your plane. Afterwards you would be eligible for the 'Additional Pilot' program and you could legally (meaning covered by your insurance) go up with him as a the additional pilot.
