So I am to the point of mounting the voltage Regulator on the STOL 750 I started in 23 . The Zenith pictorial guide shows it mounted to the plate the coil pack is mounted to .
The U L Power interactive guide says to put in on the fire wall due to vibration and heat .
It would appear that mounting it on the firewall is creating an air flow problem due to the close proximity of "L" brackets and so forth . However the leads for the regulator are long enough to go to the firewall.
Has anyone had any experience on the mounting location??
This is a computer controlled airplane and A+ voltage is critical.
So if anyone has any advise I would appreciate it.
Thanks

William,
I have been flying my UL350i for around 1100 hours so my knowledge of what is included in the kit is outdated. What I do know is that you should research this forum for discussions on MOSFET R/R.
The stock regulator and connections that came with my old kit did not make me happy. Connectors burned. I really do not like unscheduled, off airport landings. Mount regulator on firewall. Call Ray Lawerence about which regulator and connections to install. Do not hesitate to upgrade if he even thinks it might be a good idea.
