Hi Heinz The angle between the upper cabin frame and the top of the float is set at about 8 degrees.The float sits at minus 2 dergrees in relation to the ground level while the wing sits at plus 6 degrees.Zenair recommends to set this angle at 4.5 degrees. I think Bob Jones from Alaska was the first to notice that and changed his 701 to 4,5 degrees. I haven't done that so far but I will.Ask Bob He will tell you how to do it.
my engine is 912ULS ,the float kit mentions 4,5 degrees but you have to create the spacers your self . I am in the process of changing my plane to 4,5 degrees
