I just saw your comment on my profile and am now looking at your project pics. Looking good! Yes, I'm the membership coordinator for EAA 245 Ottawa so I'm pretty sure we've met.
I'm must arrange a visit to see your plane some weekend!

I am still debating on psru. I have a 2 to 1 hirth but have heard alot of negative about the Hirth equipment. I thought at first I would go with a belt drive but the drive I found would only be good up to 6000 rpm. The output shaft on our engine is @ 8000 rpm with an engine top rpm of 11000. What is the drive you are using? I am planning on using either stock pipes that are modified to fit within the cowl. Or to use a set of pipes off of the same year r1 motorcycle. Your plane is looking great. My plane is an older s/n and is dented everywhere. I am actually dissasembling my plane in prep for new skins. Steven
