What an inspector looks for is located at www.md-ra.com. Once the inspector make a snag list for you then it is up to the inspectors discretion as to how the repair will be approved. Typically they will leave it up to you and sometimes they may ask for a picture for the repair. On rare occasion they may wish a re-visit before you can close up an assembly. I have only heard of one inspector doing a re-visit, it was not on a Zenith design and the inspector actually had to arrange for the fellow to have help.
Hi Mark I am Barney Creech. I live at Lloydminster and fly a 701. I am not a builder so I bought mine 2 years ago from a retired doctor in Saskatoon. Where are you from? When do you hope to have yours flying? I also have a Sonex.
Hi Mark Mine is powered by the 80hp rotax 912. Its a nice engine and runs well. I fly out of the Lloydminster airport. I put skis on it last winter. I love fling it. When I trim it out it flies beautifully hands off . It always gets attention when I take it to flyin breakfasts and people want to see just how steep you can climb out.
