Clay...the seats were around $320 and the stitching was I think $100. I provided my own bottom seat cushion from an older plane I had. Not sure if that influanced the price.
I thought I gave their number, but here it is again..

They had my seats done in a couple weeks. I paid freight going and he paid back to me. As I said, I had to send them back because they made a mistake on the first try, but they made good with very fast turn around. Mine was the only set he had done since Roger's, so they should have the hang of it now.
Clay,
Welcome to the group and nice to have someone close by to talk to about 750's. I was just in Iowa City last week on business! I am thinking of painting my plane in Hawkeye colors since I sent 2 kids there and paid for 3 degrees!

Clay,
Thanks for the update and I can't wait to try out that airstrip. Ours is 2200 feet, so I'll be able to T/O and land 3 or 4 times on one pass! We did not get the gig in Iowa City, but we still get there often enough. I'm working on slats today. Let me know if I can help you. My biggest advice is buy lots of clecos and get some Scotch Brite wheels to debur edges. Oshkosh and the tent sales are great for tools and my Dremel tool has been the best friend I have.

Clay,
You are most welcome to visit, just call ahead to make sure I'm here working. As for OSH and a tower visit, I'd be in like a porch climber! I usually go for the first few days because of camping being an issue if you get there late.
As for the Scotch Brite wheels, I have not found a source outside of OSH, but am going to Davenport this weekend to look at Harbor Freight. I don't believe these have any metal in them that would be an issue for corrosion. I've seen no signs.
Clay,
My only week in Feb. is the 13th and 14th! You are most welcome then, or on any Friday night. I have a granddaughter being baptized on the 6th and we are off to Myrtle Beach for golf on the 18th and not back until March 1. Retirement is hell. Of course, any weekday night is fine and we are only about a hour and a half from Wilton.

I see you are just starting - I am at the other end of the "mission" and looking forward to getting airborne sometime this year - depending on how much uninterrupted time I can get at home this year.
The new 750 kits look great - much more complete and pre-drilled, should be much quicker to build than the 701 kit I purchased (ex Czech Airworks) over four years ago. I am not a fast worker - its all new to me, and I go away a lot and find that it takes me a while to get my mind back on the job fully when I am back (after catching up on the other chores that usually seem to take precedence).
I was thinking it would now be much easier to send it all into the paint shop and then get an engineer to get the engine going etc and I could be up and away in a couple of months - but then it wouldn't be entirely "home built" would it!
Got back from the rudder workshop Friday night and had a GREAT time. It was a fantastic experience. The guys, Sebastien, Roger and Caleb, are a lot of fun to work with and they are brimming with helpful tips. Well worth the 4 hours drive to and from the shop. They made the build about as easy as it could have possible been and I learned a lot.
Clay,
Glad to see that you got the rudder done and I'm sure you will have a great time doing the rest. I was out to the hangar this afternoon after being gone for 10 days and will be starting the wings tonight.
