Hi Robert
The floats were bought from Puddlejumper in Quebec..They are 15 ft long
and are fiberglass..I have not done much flying with them as it was late
in the fall when I got them..I have 157 hours on my CH-701 on wheels
Give me a call at 709-891-1883 and come over for a ride...I am in Marystown.
There are a number of guys in Nfld looking to build the CH701 or CH-750.
Hi Bob,
I've been meaning to touch base with you for a while now. I'll give you a call / email soon and see if we can get together to see your project.

Yeah changing stuff around is common sense in a lot of cases(certainly not all)...no engineering involved. I look at it and say "I couldn't tear that up with a ball peen hammer". Vibration does strange things tho, right?
Robert
Thanks for the idea on removing plastic.. I bought these parts that had been made a few years ago dn it was tough, I heated and picked and dug and It was hard.. I found out that I could have bought the side/top skins for about the same as I made them.. plus they would have been predrilled.
I wish you good success in your building too
Jack
Love your aircraft, hopefully you get it flying soon, you're going to love it. I had Brad d'Entremont from West Pubnico, NS come down and check me out on floats, he's been flying a 701 for 10-15 years, lots of time, I just forget exactly how much? Anyways, he's a super good guy and a real pleasure to fly with, if any way possible to arrange some time, you won't regret it.
I won't give out contact information but if you're interested and he's intersted then I can have him call you.
I haven't posted any photos of my aircraft yet, provide an e-mail address and I'll send photos.
