    Hello Bob,
Thats sound great, I'm not working on it during the winter due to work shop heating cost.
I have a 'SP' firewall back kit, left wing and tail feathers are complete.
Viewing your photos, I see that you have a really nicely constructed 701.
    regards,
    Brad

Yes Bob, you're correct. I still have your phone number so once the weather and work clear up I'll give you a call and fly up for a visit.
  • Bob Simmons

You wanna visit me? I wanna visit YOU! My 750 project is sitting in a corner awaiting electicity and heat in my workshop. Hoping to have that straightened out in a few months. I was president of Chapter 382 in Xenia until last month, and I've visited New Carlisle, so we may have already met. I don't recall seeing a 701 up there though.

I have just pased one major hurdle though. I only had the tail kit so far, but I've just gotten wife aproval to finance the rest of the aircraft, to include engine, instruments, etc. God I love her!!!

Okay, color me stupid. I was one of the organizers of the EAA display at the Dayton Air Show last year and your plane was there. I just didn't put two and two together.

Sounds great! I'd definitely like to talk about those Young's landings. Maybe we could arrange an unofficial Zenith fly-in there someday.

Hi, I saw the blog about a 701 fly in. I am building a 750 and would like to go to the fly in if possible. I live in western Pa. Please forward information about this years fly in. I would like to talk with you sometime. THX

Robert,I was talking to Sebastien at Sun&Fun and asked him about the VG's he told me they were testing in a earlier conservation. He told me he would send me a set if I would install them and do some flight testing and keep them posted on the results.Sebastien has a blog on his page that shows them being installed on a unpainted removed elevator.I think he said when they get enough information about them they will be offered by them,I doubt they will very expensive as they are .025 aluminum stamped out by the CAD machine with 2 rivet holes.

To anyone interested. Last year (08) we have four CH701 fly into Grimes Field Airport in Urbana, Ohio. This year we are planning to meet at the same airport during the MERFI fly in. The 42nd annual Mid-Eastern Regional Fly-In is September 12th and 13th, 2009 at Grimes Field (I74) in Urbana, Ohio. We sho,uld be able to park as a group. If you can work it in I look forward to seeing more this year.

    Hi John,
Thanks for contacting me. We met so many people on our trip I have a hard time remembering all. We tried to keep notes of people who helped us out. I knew Larry from meeting him at sentimental journey about five years ago and Jeff from his many posts on the Matronics site. I do a lot of lurking but not much posting. That aside we had a good time at the Merfi fly in and hope to show up next year. Hope all is well with you.

    Thanks Temos.
