My name is Jerry Griego and I live in Socorro. I to am building a 701 and I am close

to finishing. I have a Jabiru 2200 on mine. I also have a friend in Datil who also flys

a 701. It has taken me three years to build my kit. Started Aug 15 2010. I met the DAR

from albuqerque a few months ago. Nice guy real helpful. City of Socorro is having a

fly in on Sep 28. Hope to hear from You.

Hi Joey

You must be excited about your first flight. I know when its my turn  I will probably be nervous . I am just a rookie at this flying stuff. I have 15hrs of dual instruction and need at least 10 more for my lights sport Cert. I took my training in Carson City NV. I hope to get these next 10 hrs in New Mexico. The real problem is trying to get some time in a 701.I saw your post about a STOLCH flyin in 2014. I would like to  attend, I'll put it on my calender.

Now that your ready to fly Mother Nature won't cooperate.  I thought Deming was a dry place like Socorro. The weather man says it might stay wet for a couple  of days. What a Bummer. I hope the skys clear so you can fly. Will be waiting to hear about your first flight.
