    Ken,

How are you coming with your project? More importantly, are you having any difficulty with the construction manual vs. the plans va. what actually fits together? I'm in the last stages of the horiz, stabilizer and have found some items that ZAC needs to work on.

Ken....I tried your phone number a couple of months ago without any success.  I'm in VA for a few weeks and wanted to come by and see your progress.  I have another grandbaby coming this week...probably when the snowstorm hits early Wednesday morning.  Give me a call if you're still in the area.  Glick and I tried your number yesterday...so he doesn't know how to reach you either.   Thanks....Steve

    Hello Ken,

My DAR and EAA Counselor  was Bobby Thomas. I'm not sure if he does Virginia or not. Right now he is in Florida for the winter. I believe he comes back in March. I just checked and his name is not on the Virginia list, but you could contact him and ask. His info is:

    James R. Thomas-Laurel, MD
    Home - (301) 725-4197
    Work - (301) 725-4197

His email address is :   flyboy115@virizon.net

I assume you know you can get an FAA guy to inspect you plane for free, but a DAR will cost you. I forgot what I paid but I think it was around $215.I think he may have only charged me for expenses. He did all my paperwork, etc. Not sure if he only charged that much because I went through the EAA or not. He also is a member of the same EAA chapter I'm in, which is EAA04. If you go to this web site and select Virginia, you can find out who does your area.Bobby really is a nice guy, so I would check with him via email first anyway.
