I never did find much info on the install of the H Stab. What I did is level up the fuselage and then install the stabilizer. I was careful not to put any stress on the mounting tabs from the fuselage since I have read about stress cracks in them as they age (I had to put some small spacers into achieve a no stress condition). The stabilizer was also placed straight to the fuselage by measuring between the cabin frame and the tips of the stabilizer. Besides levels on the fuselage I also placed them on the stabilizer at each tip. Take your time and look it over good before you drill holes. I did black clecos to the tabs first, then checked everything again before the final drilling for the bolts.

What are those metal supports that your horizontal stabilizer is resting on? I've tried wood and metal 2X4 studs without much success.
