    What are those metal supports that your horizontal stabilizer is resting on? I've tried wood and metal 2X4 studs without much success.

    I never did find much info on the install of the H Stab.  What I did is level up the fuselage and then install the stabilizer.  I was careful not to put any stress on the mounting tabs from the fuselage since I have read about stress cracks in them as they age (I had to put some small spacers into achieve a no stress condition).  The stabilizer was also placed straight to the fuselage by measuring between the cabin frame and the tips of the stabilizer.  Besides levels on the fuselage I also placed them on the stabilizer at each tip.  Take your time and look it over good before you drill holes.  I did black clecos to the tabs first, then checked everything again before the final drilling for the bolts.
