Thanks I have yet to fly in Ireland my total flight time is 27 hrs in a piper trauma hawk  (they liked to spin) back in 1993 Jandakot Airport Western Australia. :)

Thanks!  I like having nothing but the best.

    Walt:

You are most welcome to stop while here. In addition to a great airport at KLEW, if you come during warm weather we have a cottage you can stay at and a camper you can use.  Spent last summer in Alaska and are now looking forward to spending most of the summer at home.. although we will probably also go to OSH for a few days.  Are you flying the Zenith or something else?  I am still flying my Van's RV-9A and enjoying the beautiful flying in Maine.

  • Glen Brown

I'm not sure...he won't show me the actual installation. He has been eating a lot of cheezies since Oshkosh; is that somehow related?

  • Attila Kazi

Hi Walt, thanks for the compliment! plane flies really nicely but a friend test flew it for me and suggested we remove it before i got a chance to do a comparison. He advised me it would provide more feedback on the stick at the critical "flair" moment. Flying without it is still great just at taxi its still a bit heavy. Good luck with your project!

  • Travis Corbin

Haha! Joe, Dave, Glen et al say what happens in Oshkosh, stays in Oshkosh. Sure... The one year I don't go and it turns into a runaway! Go figure.

    Hi Walt,

Yes, it is a barn.   The picture was taken locally when I was enroute to a temporary storage location for my almost completed fuselage.   Certainly, it would be good to meet up if you ever come to the UK.    Where I live there is quite a lot of aviation history, for example, I live close to the Imperial War Museum, at Duxford, that has ( I think) the largest warbird collection in Europe.  I keep my Long-EZ there, at present.   Thanks for your interest - I got some great advice back from John and Norm.   Tony Oliver

    Walt,

Definitely feel free to use the picture for whatever reason and safety is dertainly a good reason.

    Hi Walt,

Jan has the engine weighed at 178 lbs dry. I don't have an easy way to check the engine weight or total engine plus FWF weight for a while. I will let you know when I do.

    Hi
Thanks for your interest. The flyin was at lock haven pa. It is an annual get together mostly of piper Cubs held at the factory where they where born. I met up with Sebastian at Fredrick md. At which time he gave me flyers to hand out. I hung them on my prop, they where gone in less than two hours.

,Hi Walt  in the photo you sent showing your center console with the cover off, it appears  that I havebought the same gas valve.  The instructions were rather sparse,  looking at yours it looked like the left goes to the left and right to the right center to feed motor.  but I noticed that you had a 180 twist in the lines, I have no clue how  to plumb that thing,  could you help me out?  there is a flat spot milled in the bottom of the valve to help with orientation for me.  one other question. on your movable seat does the brkt that receives the rod go over the top of the seat pan or under ?  Thanks  you  really have so great ideas.

    >Thank you Walt i used toughs in my wings but was lucky and made the aluminum line work to the valve. I plan to use the flexible line to the firewall and beyond/ with fire sleeve of coarse. the pic's on my zenith site show the line before finale installation of the other side panel to my center console i also intend to use some cork between the panels to help with abrasion. I kind of wish i had made my console the same as yours but it did work out well. thanks again for the reply Ron
