    Hi David,

I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the building process. As you know we are not a part of Zenith. Instead we provide our builder assist services to our customers only.

Since you are not one of our customers I cannot comment and will need to refer you to the Zenith folks. They will be happy to help you once they re-open after the holiday.

Just between you and I though, and without looking at it, and going by what I think you are describing, it sounds to me like you have the elevator trim motor confused with the flaperon motor.

You should be able to find out about any updates or changes on the Zenith Builders Website.

    Best of luck,

    Bill

    David,

I am using zinc phosphate primer that comes in a 12 oz spray can.  It is a mil-spec replacement for zinc chromate and is less toxic.  I am using Tempos A701 yellow zinc phosphate.  I have not been able to find the same brand in bulk, just 12 oz spray cans.  It is available from Wicks, Aircraft Spruce and Speciality as well as sky geek (The cheapest).

Glad you are mulling through those old posts.... I read them again, after your comment - and they are just as important today as they were then!  Do visit our websites, we have a training school/build and a humanitarian aviation operation....
perhaps you may come out and visit!!!  (see volunteer section on MoM site!)

Thanks for the compliment on the build. I'm really trying hard to get to first engine start. Need to clean up all of these wires and get the windshield back on. I threw some pictures on my wall of the instrument panel and center console. Take a look at my checklist if you have any questions what's on it. Take care and good luck on your build.
