Hi Bob,
I would like to visit your project sometime when your farther along and ok with you. I live in Beavercreek and finished my 701 a year ago last July. I'm also the chapter president of EAA-610 out of New Carlisle. Our chapter has built a lot of experimentals and completed restorations and like to see other projects, meet new builders and such. If you would have an interest in talking about your project sometime drop me a line..
thanks, Bob Kissell N701UB
Bob,
I wanted to thank you for putting the pictures in zip files. It made it very easy to load on my computer. I just picked up my wing kit and can't wait for the wing pictures.

Hi Bob, Thank you for taking the trouble of zipping, and posting the files for the new 750. However in case no one has mentioned it to you as yet, all the links, and files work perfectly, with the exception of all the "wing" files. None of them can be accessed, because all we receive is an error code with the message, Cannot access the files, so I figure the link must have a typo error somewhere.
Bob,
Our chapter EAA-610 plan to meet at Urbana airport on the 28th at 10 AM to tour the Grimes and B17 projects. If your around please join us so we can talk Zenith stuff..

Oops. I accidentally added my response to your page. I gotta get used to this place.
Sounds great! I'd definitely like to talk about those Young's landings. Maybe we could arrange an unofficial Zenith fly-in there someday. Delete Comment
That's right. Coming down from the north, I was at about 10,000 feet and had just buzzed past Mt Rose. I was 10 miles east of the Truckee airport. I could see Reno off to the left.
Hi Bob,
Yes, I think it would be reasonable to strengthen that baggage floor with some additional angles and maybe thicker floor bottom skin. I have no design background so you wouldn't want to take advice from me on something like that! But I know a lot of the folks that hang around this website are well qualified to make suggestions on this topic.

Bob, I didn't actually skim the entire manual until this morning. I didn't get to the end and the section on engine cooling, airflow through the cowl, etc. It's a much improved resource.
It's a small world and please do holler when you come this way. i will probably keep the 801 at Key Field. however i do keep the gyro at Quitman International Airport about 20 miles south of MEI.
Well, I have to say. That's not my own work shop; it is a temporary place at my work "I got permit from the chairman's office :) ;) ", I will be moving to my kit's permanent hangar at the aviation club 40 miles away from home. I’m a member of the Saudi Aviation club in Riyadh. http://www.sac.com.sa/english/
Then the progress of building will be slower than what I’m doing now time, because of the distance.
I'm using the anti corrosion provided by Zenith Co, a liquid water base ...I don't remember its name now. Also I used Rust stop an anti corrosion comes in spray cans with different colors
Bob, the aircraft flies really well with VGs. The aircraft really just mushes into the stall, the most noticeable thing is an increase in ROD. No wing drop, with or without flap.
The VGs on the lower elevator are really good. Nose can be held off to a very low speed.
Hi Bob, Back on Jan. 29th you posted a comment that a Experimental amateur built does not qualify for LSA operation. It's my understanding that if the aircraft fits all the parameters it can be operated as an LSA. There is an Ercoupes Cubs and Champs at local airport flying as LSA's why not E-AB's?
Bob, Terry from PLR Pell City, AL. Have your uncle come by the airport and look me up. Would like to ask you a few questions on the 750. If you could contact me tcapps@plrairport.com Thanks
Now that I have my plans I can't wait to get started. I won't be able to start any real assemely till after my house addition is complete as agreed with the boss but I do hope to start fabricating ribs and other parts and set them aside till later. Not real excited about the fuse plans. Very confusing. I obviously need to spen a lot of time studying them before I start on the fuse. I can always by a fuse kit if I have to. I plan to price the parts I will definitely need to buy a nd compare that to the a complete fuse kit and see just how valuable the kit will be. The wings and tail feathers look fairly straight forward. Any chance you will be able to start on yours soon?
It doesn't matter that you responded so late anyway, since I haven't made any progress on an autopilot for my plane. I still follow the forum on a daily basis even though I completed my plane in 2012.
I'm sorry to hear about your broken back, and glad to see you back here. I still follow the forum, and have made several changes to my plane since I finished it. I've copied several mods posted by John Austin.
I still want to do the autopilot install on my plane but that may be something I consider next spring. Just this past week there have been new posts on the autopilot. Right now I'm still waiting for a Navworx ADS-B unit which I paid for last year, and hopefully will finally get sometime near the end of September.
I just noticed your were Computer Systems Engineer.....I got computer training in Navy and got out just short of 10 years. Repaired computers, worked for Control Data, Cray Research, and Silicon Graphics before retiring.
Hope to see you posting now that you're back into it. Good luck on keeping the wife happy.
