    Matt;
    Beautiful 801. Dan is a superb artist in 801s.So a well done by Dan is a real compliment.

    I have owned 2 801s and assembled a list of all of the useful mods that I have done and others have done and posted. It is a long list.

    I have flown about 700-750 hours in the 801s and flown all 50 US states and Canada, about of them in an 801, the rest in C182. I would be glad to share experiences and info on 801 flying characteristics. I had planned a flight to South America, but COVID and resulting finances issue killed that on. Not much you can't do with one if you are patient and can do it at 100 knots.

    if you would like I can send you the list of mods. Also I can send you a word.doc with links to videos of my 801 Alaska trip, SC to Maine trip, local mountains, etc. if you like.

    I am very interested in your cooling issues and how you overcame them. Both of my 801 run hot. What engine, which cylinders were hot and how hot? What effect did the prop extension have? What other things were done to get the cooling under control.
