Ken, Just dropping a note to introduce myself. I am also building a 650. I had wings done, but now must do upgrade. I just riveted fuselage together over weekend of the 4th and am in process of mounting Grove gear in back and front gear as well. I also have had some frustration with no picture guide and parts for the 650 that did not fit. Roger has been very patient with me and has sent many new resized parts.
Did you start with actual 650 kit or upgrade from 601?
I would be interseted in corresponding as you proceed to see if I could learn from your progress. Sounds like seeking a pen pal. Jerry

Ken, I will be building 2 years in Sept. and have ran into numerous problems with 650 parts from ZAC. They have been very open to my calls and have actually been using some of my discussion to fine tune the kit as they have not completed building their first 650 example. I recieved 4 sets of front side skins before we finally got them correct. I saw your pics and we are at a very similar point in building unless you have your wings upgraded already. Jerry

Ken, I am in total admiration of anyone who can build a plane from scratch. It is a good thing to have the wings in front of you as you can incorporate the upgrade parts from day 1 of their constuction.
I worked on mounting my rear gear today. Am still waiting on some parts from powder coater and some bushings and bolts from ZAC that were wrong on aileron torque tube. Once I get things in hand, I should be ready to final mount gear, bolt on brakes and wheels and set her down. Would be a good day. Jerry
