I bought the kit with the old style wheelpants, but when the new style came out, I sold the old ones at a discount and bought the new ones.

The nose fork is the original one (and its doubler) that came with the kit. I didn't have any trouble fitting the new style pants to the gear at all.

I did allow a bit more reveal of the tries than many wheelpants I have seen but that buys me some grace on a grass strip and make valve stem access simple with just a small rounded notch in the bottom of the pant.

Scott, thanks for the info on Parking brakes. I am going to pursue some option while building, while I'm doing the upgrade. Not sure what it is yet.
