Very nice looking CH300 indeed, I know several friends with CH300's here in Ontario.

I flew a Merlin years ago, good flyer. The 300 will be a lot faster and landing will take a bit getting use too. Power on till the ground , don't flare to high, the bounce will take the gear out.
