Hey Bill, thanks for answering back. When I saw you were new also and living so close, I figured we might be able to meet someday. Maybe once I have my strip built you'll have a place to come by and visit.
I have my tail feathers done and I am waiting to receive my slats, flaperons and wings that are on order. Once those are done I'll have to get my hangar built to complete the project.
I still have your phone number handy regarding a demo flight.
I am real busy with life these days, my 85 yr old father diagnosed with ALS and best friend with stage 4 brain cancer....and my 81 yr old father-in-law had a heart attack.
I really love the big bright D180 display in sun light that comes into the CH750 cockpit from every direction. I have flown an CH701 aircraft with MGL instruments, in a bright cockpit they are not all that great to read. Difference in costs between "steam guage" basic VFR panel + engine 6-pack and a D180 is about $600 more for the D180. BUT the basic VFR does not include an artificial horizon included in the D180. Plus D180 has flight computer, fuel management, engine & electrical instruments, angle of attack and much more included in the price. Artificial horizon is a $2,000 steam guage.
When it comes to selling an aircraft the D180 display blows the other panels away in customer appeal. This means top dollar retained value on your investment in quality avionics.
Cut one panel hole, and both flight & engine instruments are installed.
