Great, thanks for getting back to me. Be sure and let me know how things go in flight testing. I'd really like to know your weight and performance numbers. With a 2275 vw and Valley Engineering 1.6 redrive with a powerfin 74" prop I see about 80 mph in cruise, get off the ground in 100' feet on a cool day at 1065 lbs.I have everything but the kitchen sink in my plane. I climb vy at 45mph with the vsi showing 500 to 700 fpm. The climb angle is VERY steep. VX is about 40 mph and the angle is way to steep for my liking. Scary. I have a lot of people say that I should be seeing 1000 fpm and I have changed prop pitch 12 times to get the best setting and after researching this I feel that 5 to 700 fpm is right and all I will see at 45 mph. At 45 mph the only way you will see 1000 fpm is to go straight up. If I were climbing at 65 or 70 mph and at my deck angle I would see 2500 fpm. Please keep in touch and let me know any performance numbers you can. Thanks.Wayne

    Bruno,
Thanks for getting back to me, weight is the key. I flew a couple of days ago and had a really good time. The plane is performing better and I am getting used to it. The vw made the difference between me flying or dreaming. I have 23,000 US dollars in my entire plane. Less than the cost of a Rotax Firewall forward kit here.
