Building and Flying Info / Your Profession / Other Background Info
I am a retired high school teacher. I have been flying for 21 years. I have building experience with other projects, ie. houses, wood projects but this is my first airplane.
What did you teach? Would you be interested in some volunteer work with the Zenith building African girls in Ghana? We will be at Oshkosh it you would like to meet two of them and talk plane girl talk! http://www.medicineonthemove.org/
We are always on the lookout for a volunteer with teaching skills - perhaps you have a great student you know who would like to spend a few months living in with the girls learning about planes and teaching them maths and science... or you and the family fancy a volunteer holiday!
Sorry to hear about your Father. Working on cleaning engine parts, crank is at Wiesmens being reworked. Also finishing parts for firewall. Things may slow for awhile. Wife had a total knee done end of June, was going great. Then 3 weeks ago got severe swelling. Turns out it's staff infection. That means removing the prosthesis, putting in a medical spacer for 6 weeks of antibiotics, then new knee and start the rehab all over. Yes sometimes life has other plans and timetable.
