Well that's good to know as i was looking at the ULpower 260is for my CH750 or the 350.
But I finally made my decision after much research...I am planning on using a Radial 2800 from Rotec with TBI fuel injection, 3:2 reduction for swinging a large prop. My CH750 will be on floats eventually. I did make many calls to Zenith and Rotec to make sure and it's all possible.Weight is comparable to the O-200 and the CG is no issue as well. I will fabricate the aluminum spun cowling myself with my english wheel and the mount will be done by Rotec on specs from Zenith.
I will keep my instruments to the traditional six pack with a Garmin 696 GPS and that will be it.
i know my choice is off the beaten path but it's all for the fun of building and just love the sound and look of a radial engine. -:)
I'm anxious to hear about the performance of the ULpower 350is. Like many other people I guess..
I'm also thinking of the R2800 for my amphibious 750 - the thought is that the extra clearance from sitting up on the floats is an opportunity to swing a large slow prop for big static thrust. My main concern is weight, would love to hear how you go with this.
