Hello,  I just saw that you are from Wamego.  I live North of Wamego and just finished

a stol 750 and am waiting for my inspection.  Moved it to the airport and hope to be flying

it in the next few weeks. Hope your building is going good!

I have sent all my info off to the MIDO in Wichita and have a DAR from Salina lined up

to inspect the plane, hopefully in a couple of weeks.  I also did 5 hours with Buzz Air in

Tennessee and glad I did, as it lands different from other planes I have flown.  You are

welcome to meet me at the airport and see the plane -- I did a crappy job of painting it,

but it is what it is.  It takes lots of tools to complete the plane and you are welcome to

borrow. them -- like the cables tensioner is about 200 bucks and used little.

I am a retired General Contractor and hate telephones so the best way to contact me

is at wccirr@gmail.com.  Also, I have a Piper Warror if you would like to go flying sometime.

I just had another comment for you - I see where you are not a pilot yet and assume

you are planning to get a sport pilot license.  If you haven't taken your flying lessons yet it might be worth your time to check out the prices from local CFI's and then see what Buzz  Air would charge and how long it would take to get the license there in Tennessee.

He would teach you in the same exact airplane that you are building and I can tell you that it does not land the same as any plane you would learn in around here.  Just a thought.  Some pilots have crashed their newly built 750 the first time they landed it.

Also, I don't know your schedule, but I will be spending some time the next few days at Wamego airport - calibrating fuel, etc. if you had time to stop by.  Seems pretty remarkable that two people in this small community are building the same plane.  I am never around a telephone so if you had a chance to come to the airport just email me at wccirr@gmail.com and let me know.  I can show you mistakes I made on my plane.
