Save that top fan for a 4th of July party. It's made of magnesium, and when you get it burning you could probably see it from orbit. Bring your welding shield.
PB Blaster is your BFF. There is a writeup on Corvaircrafters Mylist on how to remove the head nuts without unscrewing the bottom head bolts. Be carefull. Search removal tips, IIRC
