I'm still all over the map on the engine. I like the idea of the Corvair. All the Jabiru installations I have seen give the plane excellent power for the mountain region we live in, but they all still face heat issues which I worry would be even worse here in AZ. I'm watching the new "Viking" honda engine which has a very nice CH750 application (firewall forward kit) and a very reasonable cost...but it is just now being installed in the real world. I'm going to watch that engine over this year and if it performs well, may consider it strongly because it's water cooling and 120 HP would sure be nice where I fly throughout AZ and UT. Come over and see the progress on my plane some time. My cell ph is 480-988-0890 and address is 2636 E Melrose St., Gilbert AZ 85297.
Terry, I just got my wing kit in. Finished the slats, flaperons, rudder, horizontal stabilizer and elevator. Getting ready to put it all together to complete the wings. Come on over if you want to take a close look at all the wing parts before I start assembly. I'm in town this holiday weekend. Not too far away at 2636 E Melrose, Gilbert, (off Germann just east of Greenfield). Just thought you'd like to see my kit parts to help you with your scratch building. Todd 480-988-0890 cell.
