The major thing I did to get things lined up was cutting the shaft on the Matco brake cylinder. As I recall, there is way more threaded shaft than needed for the adjusting u piece that goes on the end. The shaft was to long and kept me from lining things up. I just put a nut on the threads, clamped the end of the threads in the vice and trimmed a piece off. The treads cleaned up fine with the nut. Hope this helps.
