Hi Ray. I understand you could not get any one to check you out on a 701. If that’s the case, what was your Insurance situation? I hope to test fly my 701 this Summer but my insurance Co has told me that they will not insure me until I have 20 hours time as PIC in a 701. Chicken and Egg situation…….Geoff
I have been a 601 pilot for several years. I recently purchased a 701 and have put about 30 hours on it. In the morning I am leaving in the 701 on about a 10 day trip.
I see you are working on or have been working on a 701. Its a fun airplane but has some quirks that could make first flight a bit tricky. Once you get the landings down the rest is relatively easy.
