Hi Michael. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Regarding your question about primer. I'm told that T6061 inherently inhibits corrosion but you'll find a section on corrosion protection in the construction standards. We used a self-etching primer on the rudder skeleton but since then, have decided to forego priming altogether. Given that you live in Florida, my suggestion would be that you have a look at the Corrosion X product and website for your consideration. I think it would be WAY faster and easier. Cheers!
