I had a replacement and was warned about infections. You even have to have antibiotics before dental work. Evidently, any infection heads for the knee. I am truly sorry to hear about her problem. It gives me a new heads up as I have become careless about it. Give her my best and tell her my prayers are with her.
This is the first time I have been on this site in months. Glad to see you had Zenith in Sept. I haven't gotten as much done as I would have liked, do to an 8 week illness of my father and his death. Sometimes family must come first.
Craig has started his part of the project. He has completed the canopy and is now starting to put the plane together and install controls.
I am completing the wings. It should be flying by spring.
Hope you are progressing, too.

Hi Richard, it was a pleasure meeting you at the Zenith event. Yep I regretfully had to depart somewhat early .. Good to meet folks and attend the banquet. Regards, Dave
Picked up my Corvair engine at Festus airport after I left Zenith Aircraft. Got back home (Nixa,MO) around 11:00. Have ordered an engine mount from William Wynne.
Until the engine mount get here will be working on the manual flap system.
Rich, I'll post a new Blog with pictures next week. I'm heading back tomorrow to address the discrepancy list, I'll have 7 days, that should be enough.
We decided that the dogs can be home alone when my wife goes to work, so that solves returning for fight testing. Hoping to return in early May, the weather will be the issue, May is the heart of the windy season in Southwestern Idaho.
I like the idea of using the 12' hardwood for a brake, waste not want not.
Hi Richard,
You are welcome. I really enjoy writing articles about some of my do it yourself projects, like my step stool and nose wheeel steering rod boots, etc.

Richard,
I noticed your question to Dwight about where to find full sheets of veneer for your panel.
you might look into a plastic laminate like Formica, it's little easier to work with and it is much cheaper and it's much more durable.
But if you must have a wood veneer then try an outfit here in WA called EDEN SAW.
They are on of the premier wood suppliers to the yachting industry here and they have all sorts of exotics.
Oh, and by the way... Nice work! Keep it up:)

Yeah mine were pre-punched to. Did enlarge a little, hard to remember which direction they restricted me though. Thinking about it i'd say that it may be part of the reason as to why the fold is a tiny bit low. I'd say it probably happens to alot of people then. Did ask zenith about it and they weren't to worried about it.
I sent you an email but in case you don't get it here is the paint information.
My brother Alan's wife Nathalie was our record keeper and had the nickname "inventory control". She found the note below in her file.

White: N0007EA & L0007EB (not sure why I have 2 numbers, maybe it is the same white but for different line of paint Imron 5000 vs. Imron 6000) – I show it at $170/gal
Red: Radiant Fire Effect L3262EB @ $448/gal
Black: Black Effect L2130EB @ ~ $170/gal
PS: I am not sure whether we used Imron 5000 (single stage) or Imron 6000 (2 stage) but I assume the numbers above will be the clue.
