Forged Billet CNCd vs. Forged?

Corvair Spyder engine owners,What is your thought on the forged billet CNCd counterweighted, 1/4 stroked crankshaft in your engine vs. the cast billet crank that had a failure some years ago? I also have the 5th bearing. I have a 120 HP and realized that I have a counterweighted, stroker crank from a single forged billet. At least I believe it's not the sand-casted billet. SEEKING TO PURCHASE CORVAIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST MANIFOLDS

Seeking Corvair intake and exhaust for Zenith. I've got a Rotec carb. Give me a shout if you'd like to sell your new or used manifolds. Bought the exhaust from the GA Corvair seller and received poor-quality welds that I have to have repaired. TX 760D VHF COMM Transceiver $895

Rat's nest

I've got a rat's nest in my avionics bay. Figuratively of course.I'm thinking that I will trace the critical lines coming from the wings and cut out all of the old EIS wires and leave all wires going to switches and breakers/fuses or possibly even start over with them. I have all new digital instruments and a new 6000 EIS for my Corvair engine, with the ancient TERRA transponder being the only thing I left from the previous build. I plan to gut the FWF electrical in the engine bay and start…See More
