What a great group of participants! We had a good drive in the Zenith cargo van to Southwest Texas (delivering kits along the way) to hold the workshop class in Bill Fahey's hangar at Boerne Stage Airfield (north of San Antonio).<br /> We wholeheartedly thank Bill Fahey for organizing and hosting this event, whose relentless support of sport aviation goes beyond all expectations! Thanks also to local Zenith builder Jaime Pujol for his help in setting up the workshop and for providing the great plaques, pens and wallets presented to all the workshop participants! We're also very grateful to Dr. Mark Ogden for his help setting up and for graciously providing the delicious Rudy's BBQ lunch on Friday in his hangar (where he's building a CH 701). Bill's beautiful wife and super-hostess Johni Badder-Fahey kept everyone warm with coffee and provided her great AirBNB house to the Zenith crew! We're also thankful to Dave Tillema who flew in with his CH 750 Cruzer (from Houston) and offered demo flights. We're grateful to Chip King, local Designated Airworthiness Representative (FAA DAR) and fan of the Zenith aircraft, who stopped by to answer questions, and thankful to Jan and Alissa Eggenfellner of Viking Aircraft Engines who made the trip from Florida to meet with Texas builders and flyers. Thanks as well to local CH750 Cruzer owners Allan and Kathy Gratia for feeding us donuts, and thanks to area builders and owners who came by to visit: Darrin and Lois Towers (STOL CH 750), Jimmy Young (STOL CH 750), Duane Hillis (CH 750 Cruzer) and Jimmy Smith (STOL CH 701). What a great group of Texas builders and flyers! We're already looking forward to returning in 2023!
