Looks like he used nearly every last bit of kinetic energy to clear the wires then she stalled few feet above the highway. Gonna need some repairs but overall, well done by Dale to get the Turtle down safely and walk away. A tribute to his experience and the ruggedness of the design.
What's funny is, if you listen hard enough, the sound system in the truck with the dash cam is playing the opening notes to "Another One Bites the Dust".
Pilot did exactly as he was trained to do. Fly the aircraft. Excellent forced approach with favorable results. You built it you can fix it. Well done pilot.
Unfortunately it looked like he had the landing made and then stalled it, or at least lost too much airspeed, at the end. In any case it was a good outcome and he clearly made an effort to avoid the cars.
I'm glad he made it down safe, great job keeping cool and controlled! A bit of luck is always good to have along too! Does anyone know what caused the power loss?
