Look at the pictures we attached earlier, The last one shows the offset of the rear spar Support angle. This is where we added a1" piece to it. We can now rivit using the existing hole and still get the correct angle.

Thank you for that info. I am going to call ZAC on Monday and ask about new skins. I have other areas like the seat back that ends up with the line of rivet holes 20 mm aft of where they should be as well for the upright. I believe there must be faulty design in my set of skins and I am at least encouaged by your report of longer and different skins. Thanks, Jerry

Yes we have the same problem. We 1 " rivited a spacer to the rear spar which then catches all of the prelocated holes. Our hangar mates are also building a 650. Their kit was delivered with different side skins that are longer. They had to trim some off behind the rear spar. We also have some problems with the seat/spar access panels are too long. We have cut them and rebent to fit the arm rest panels.
I think we all are having some issues in the forward area. Zenith has offered a new spar and skins but we do not think we will excercise this option. We can post some pictures Sunday of our modifications if you wish.

Brenda, I am building 650 also. Am at stage of trying to place forward side skins. I am sure I have all dimensions front to back in good shape. ZAC replaced my center spar as I indicated in an earlier note and now the angle is right at 83 degrees. Now my problem is when I line up center spar opening in side skin over the center spar, the back edge of the skin is 10 mm in front of the rear wing attatch bracket rather than up against it and needing to be trimmed. This creates an odd placement of the rear channel upright. If the predrilled holes in the forward skin are to catch both the rear skin and this rear channel up right, then the angle of 75.5 will not work and if you set the angle correctly , it runs off the rivet line. Are you having difficulty with these areas lining up as well? Of course, it is Saturday so I can't call ZAC and ask any questions. I am still having great fun building and look forward to the day of flying my own 650. I love its new look and trust the design. Jerry

I'm just finishing up my first wing. I haven't started the fuselage yet.
